Dj Wool is an established Dj and music producer who splits his time between Brooklyn, New York, and Berlin, Germany. Having made his name as one of the most prominent figures on the music scene of his native Ireland during the 90’s, his career really began to take shape when he moved to New York in 2001.

Glen is a founding member of Indy Dance duo “The Glass” with Dominique Keegan of Plant records co-owned by Hip Hop pioneer Stretch Armstrong. Together they have released numerous 12” records and remixes including two 12inches “Won’t Bother Me” and “Hear The Music” with remixes by Mylo and 2020 Soundsystem on Fine/Four music. They have remixed and been remixed by 120 Days (Vice Records), INXS, Kasper Bjorke, Stretch Armstrong, Rinocerose, The Photo Atlas, Telepopmusic, Tittsworth, Eli Escobar, Les Clones, Filur, Shitake Monkey, Just Jack, Junior Sanchez and many more. As The Glass they have released 2 EP’s, Fourteen Again EP and most recently “Couples Therapy” EP and “Remixes & Rarities” album, both of which have become favorites of music blogs everywhere.

DJ Wool recently mixed/engineered the higly anticipated album by Baltimore Beats artist Tittsworth with appearances by Spank Rock, Kid Sister, The Federation, PitBull, Nina Sky and more, which is out now on Plant Music/Money Studies.

Glen mixed and edited the highly successful “The Sound of Young New York” Compilations 1, 2 and 3. He also releases music under a number of aliases including Itchy Revolutions with several releases under that name including Face Me (12” Vinyl as well as inclusion on “The Sound of Young New York 2”) and a digital release & 12” titled “Gangsters & Models” on Berlin based Pale Music. Also, he has a track titled “A Friend Crush” featured on The Plant music compilation. Dj Wool “100% Pure New Wool” was the first 12” to appear on Plant records in the late 90’s. DJ Wool “Gangsters & Models” 12” is available Sep 5th 2008 via Beatport with Remixes by The Scandals and Cobra Krames on Pale Music, Berlin with an album coming in November 2008.

Glen is also an established Recording Engineer working in the Pop Music world with credits ranging from Natasha Beddingfield to Jennifer lopez and Herbert Gronemyer and many more. Others credits to Glen's production include providing beats for the International best selling album "Reveal" by REM in 2001.

Glen furthered his career as a professional DJ by competing in the 1998 Irish Technics DMC Scratch Championship. Accomplishing first place, which led him to compete in the World finals at Palais Des Sportes in Paris. As the producer and founding member of the award-winning Irish Hip Hop crew 3rd Eye Surfers, he produced the album "Filthy Folklore" during Summer 2001.

Dj Wool is on a constant tour schedule with The Glass and as a DJ that takes him from San Francisco to Switzerland and back again on a monthly basis…

DJ MOON KAT a.k.a. Tapio Väisänen

DJ Moon Kat has been obsessed with music since late 70's. He's been writing to rock'n roll magazines since 80's and also liner notes to albums, and reissued some 50's R&R on his own label. You could describe him as a passionate vinyl collector who spins regularly original 45s at R&R clubs and weekenders in Finland and all over and liable to play anything from rocking 50’s R&B to 60’s New Breed R&B, Rock'n Roll to Rockabilly, Popcorn to Tittyshakers, Beat to Surf instros. He has spent the last 25 years travelling across the Europe and USA in search of good music and great people! He's also been spinning 45’s also at the famous Barcelona Clubs including Boiler Club, Barbara Ann and Las Guindas.

DJ Tiny Tim a.k.a. Timo Kurunsaari

DJ Tiny Tim has been collecting 50's Black and White Rock'n'Roll and Rhythm 'n' Blues, Rockabilly, 60's Soul Groups and British Beat/Freakbeat 45s since the 80's. Throughout the years he's been DJing in various r'n'r/r'n'b parties in Finland and no doubt it will be a pleasure to hear his records on The Big Shake dancefloor!

YHDYSVALTALAINEN FOLKROCK-YHTYE CITAY SUOMEEN


Modernin folk- ja americana-musiikin huippunimiin lukeutuva Citay saapuu syyskuun lopulla Suomeen. Ensimmäistä kertaa maassamme nähtävä amerikkalaisyhtye esiintyy syyskuun 27. päivä Helsingin Kuudennella Linjalla.

Aikaisemmin Piano Magic -yhtyeessä vaikuttanut kitaristi/vokalisti Ezra Feinberg ja The Fucking Champs -kokoonpanosta tuttu kitaristi/tuottaja Tim Green perustivat Citayn kotikaupungissaan San Franciscossa vuonna 2004. Vuonna 2006 julkaistulla nimettömällä debyyttialbumilla Citayn sointi oli lähempänä Black Sabbathin ja Led Zeppelin kaltaista riffirockia kuin nykyistä americana-vaikutteista psykedeliarockia.

Tämän vuoden tammikuussa Citay julkaisi Dead Oceans -levymerkin (mm. Dirty Projectors, The Tallest Man On Earth, Akron/Family) kautta kolmannen studioalbuminsa “Dream Get Together”. Uutuuslevyllään yhtye onkin löytänyt 70-lukulaiseen psykedeliarockiinsa yhä enemmän sävyjä Popol Vuhin ja ELO:n kaltaisesta progerockista, Steely Danin ja Fleetwood Macin aikuisrockista sekä Black Mountain- ja Mercury Rev -henkisestä modernista psykerockista.

Citay soittaa vajaan kuukauden mittaisella Euroopan kiertueellaan muutaman Skandinavian klubikeikan lisäksi esimerkiksi Wilcon, Modest Mousen ja Iron & Winen seurassa End Of The Road -festivaaleilla.
