MALA on toinen puolikas jo legendaarisesta duosta Digital Mystikz.. Miehestä on tullut dubstepin positiviisuuden ja meditoivan soundin keulakuva.

Loefah:n ja Cokin kanssa järkkäämistä DMZ tansseista on tullut dubstepin tärkein paikka missä kuullaan ne isot uudet biisit ja tavataan edelleen suurin osa djstä ja artisteista Burialista Skreamiin.

DMZ ei ole vain dubstepin tärkeimmät tanssit, vaan myös se levymerkki jonka soundi hyvin pitkälle määritteli mitä dubstep on. Kaiken tämän lisäksi Malalla on "Deep Medi Musik" jolta mm. Cloudsin viimeisin 12" tuli ulos.

POKES on tunnetuimpia Host Mctä dubstepissa. Miehen karismaattinen ääni on yhtä tärkeä elementti DMZ kokonaisuudessa kuin Malan dubpleitit.

Music has played a big part in Murray's life from a very early age. Music of different variety has always appealed to him and an interest in the soulful, the experimental and the obscure, remains with him still today.

His first memory of taking an interest in music comes from playing early Devo and The Clash trax and along with the 2Tone and Go Feet sounds of The Specials and The Beat, formed what was his first major musical influences.

1987 was his first experience of house music through the early Trax and DJ International sounds and having been involved in night clubs in Ayr, Scotland, from a young age, it was the original Streetrave "West Coast Jams" at Ayr pavilion that turned him onto the music that still captures his heart today.

Having spent many years living in the capital of Scotland, he quickly established himself as one of the worlds best up and coming house DJ 's, crafting his deep house style at his early residencies, “Genus” and “Zodiac”, before going onto dj in some of the worlds coolest clubs.

The world of house music finally realized Murray's potential and since wining the prestigious "Muzik" magazine, bedroom bedlam award early in his career, there has been no holding this dj back.

Murray has spread his talent with guest spots all over the world, playing in some major cities such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Barcelona, Lisbon, Prague, Moscow, Johannesburg, Capetown, Munich, Warsaw, Bogota, Madrid, Paris, Verona, Ibiza, Brussels, Belgrade, Tiblisi, Tokyo, Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Malmo, Helsinki, Sydney and Melbourne, to name just a few.

Close to Murray’s heart is his own wicked deep house night, “Rebel Waltz”, which became a major part of the British deep house scene and helped him become an integral part of the British deep house sound. Now Murray is spreading his deep house vibe worldwide with his "Rebel Waltz" nights alongside fellow resident DJ Stuart Patterson (Faith/London) and the night went on to be recently recorded live for DJ Magazine and released as a covermount cd along with the publication.

As with any good DJ, he possesses superb technical ability and a hunger for new sounds. What really sets him apart from other djs is his ability to remain part of the vibe and place himself on the dancefloor with his crowd, which is no surprise as that’s exactly where you will find him if he's not on the decks himself - this is no moody DJ. When you watch him play you know he loves what he's doing.

Originally recording as “H.O.W.Project”. for "Finiflex" records, the first release, "Listen Carefully", marked the start of his collaboration with John Vick [ex–Finitribe].

Murray’s debut solo recording was picked up by Clive Henry and Rocky’s London based label “Low Pressings”, with the track getting a full international release. “We Came In

Peace” by “Spacejunk” kick started his solo production career and Murray has gone on to work with some of house music's best labels including "20:20 Vision", "Low Pressings", "Creative", "Nordic Trax", "Magnitude", "Strawberry Blonde", "Deepxperience" and "Sensei" records as well as two of Spain’s most important house labels. “D.Press Industries” and "Deepbass" records. Murray also compiled his first mix compilation cd entitled "House Of ill Repute" which was released on the internationally known “Kickin” records.

With plans well and truly underway for his own house label, this is one busy guy but he realizes that his strength is in his DJing ability as he embarks on a crusade to rock the deeper dancefloors across the entire galaxy.

We have spoken about for the last few months and finally it is here..A whole festival day of Meatballs&Spaghetti madness!!

Starting at 2pm we have a flea market with many different stalls selling lots of wonderful items, also awesome food and refreshments will be available throughout. Flea market will run till somewhere around 7pm (unless you guys buy out everything the stalls have to offer!)

Throughout the course of the day and continuing well into the night will be a huge number of live acts and DJ's, some of the best talent from around the city and well beyond are here to please your ears!

Thomas Koch aka DJ T. Bio
For almost twenty years Thomas Koch – DJ T. – has been a vital part of the techno and house scene. In a range of different capacities: among others, Koch worked and works as a DJ, producer, promoter, club operator, publisher and journalist. In 2005, he relocated from Frankfurt to Berlin.

Blame it all on the disco ball. Born in 1969 in the city of Dusseldorf, at the tender age of nine Koch succumbed to the glistening seduction of black vinyl. By this time, his family had moved to Frankfurt, ‘disco’ had reached its zenith and Koch’s parents continued to ply him with early vinyl compilations, triggering what would become a serious and lifelong collection streak. T.’s burgeoning obsession went beyond disco and hi N-R-G – Village People, Donna Summer and Evelyn Thomas were soon followed by early rap music (via Grandmaster Flash) and finally – from 1983 – electro funk and its seminal protagonists Afrika Bambaataa, Planet Patrol, Newcleus and Mantronix. Their tracks had everything Koch craved: glam, funk, beats and bass. They were the soundtrack to a new dance culture. To Koch, this was love at first sight and he decided to take up breakdancing. Until this day, many of DJ T.’s own productions preserve the musical spirit of this period. Some loves do last forever.

Like many of his fellow DJs, Koch’s career on the decks began with trial stints at private parties, back in 1985. For his first professional gigs two years later he adopted the pseudonym DJ T - a moniker he retains to this day. Early fare on his turntables: black music in all its variants. Spinning at a range of different clubs in and around Frankfurt, T. soon found himself swept away by the powerful acid house wave that hit the city with the opening of Omen in 1988. Caught in the surge, Koch switched to straight beats and soon moved the crowds with early house, EBM and techno tracks, followed by his first residency at Frankfurt’s seminal Music Hall. Throughout the 90s, he played almost all of the city’s essential clubs, including extended stopovers at Plastik, Dorian Gray and The Box. By now Frankfurt, one of Europe’s foremost epicentres of electronic dance music, has become indelibly linked with the name DJ T. In 1999 Koch, Patrik Dechent and others opened their own club Monza and, for the next five years, Koch played a decisive part in shaping its profile. Impressive names like Steve Bug, DJ Hell, Ricardo Villalobos and Tiefschwarz were among the venue’s welcome and frequent guests. Run without Koch since 2004, Monza continues to claim its place among Germany’s foremost clubbing locations; its offshoot at Space/Ibiza counts among the island’s hippest events.

In 2002, Koch and friends decided to start their own label, Get Physical Music. By now, the label’s popularity and fame has spread well beyond its Berlin base – reaching 4 (of favourite labels) in the annual Groove reader’s poll in 2004, Get Physical also claimed the coveted ‘label of the year 2005’ slot of British club bible DJ Mag. One would be hard-pressed to find a single techno/house DJ around the world who does not reach for at least one Get Physical track when things get hot.

Bio Lil' Tony
No matter how you look at it, DJ Lil' Tony, born Toni Rantanen, is the central character in Helsinki club scene. A member of the prestigious Nuspirit Helsinki(www.nuspirit.com) collective and his new electronic music project called Future Beat Investigatigators. For a decade, he has amazingly been continuously on the top of the game, running the only Helsinki venues that are up to international club standards. From early-90s to the early 2000s it was Kerma 1997-2004 and sOda 1996-2003, Rose Garden 2005-2007 Today its Redrum (www.redrum.fi) his latest club with massive Funktion One soundsystem and Kuudes linja (www.kuudeslinja.com) which is live venue. In addition to all this, he is also one of the people behind Flow (www.flowfestival.com), the annual electronic/urban music festival in Helsinki.

Toni's roots lie in the early days of underground warehouse parties and he has not to date lost his commitment to the underground and uncompromised musical culture. As a DJ, Lil' Tony is probably best known for his deep and soulful house/techno sets – Detroit/New York/Chicago house music was his first love after all – but he is remarkably unprejudiced and eclectic in his approach to music, be that for his personal listening pleasure only, or what he plays when out DJing. On the other hand Toni's got strong jazz/soul/Latin background. So be not surprised if you hear the man throwing in some Soulful Disco, Afro-cosmica Italo stuff, balearic rareties, Disco not Disco record or even twisted Jazz track. Lil' Tony's main musical influences – in addition to extensive traveling – are UR, Harvey, Ron Hardy, Ron Trent, Chez Damier, Daniele Baldelli, Theo Parrish, Marvin Gaye, Moodyman, Fela Kuti, Carl Craig and Basic Channel.

Though working hard at home, Tony has found time to spin as a guest DJ all around the globe. As a promoter, Toni has brought literally hundreds of international DJs and live artists to Helsinki.

Heinäkuun illassa Kuudennen Linjan lavalle astelee, kukin vuorollaan, kolmesta eri yhtyeestä tuttua keulahahmoa. Luvassa jotakin yhtyeiden tuotantoa mutta lähinnä tarjolla on harvemmin kuultavissa olevaa, solistiherrojen omaa materiaalia.
Iltaa avaamassa on kehuja vastaanottaneen At the End indierock -yhtyeen solisti, Jarno-Erik Faarinen, joka soittaa akustisen keikan uuden Fotoshop elektroprojektinsa vastapainoksi. Toisena lavalle astuu Cosmobile triosta tuttu Tuomas Palonen, joka lupaa rock-estetiikkaan ja pop-koukkuihin luottavan yhtyeensä äänimailmasta poikkeavia soundeja. Illan pääesiintyjänä on lahjakas multi-instrumentalisti/sanoittaja, nimittäin menestyneen Rubik yhtyeen nokkamies Artturi Taira. Terassilla illan aloittaa The Munchies sekä Arsenicks DJ:t.

Komposti Sound, the number 1 and hardest working reggae sound system in Finland, was formed in Helsinki in 2001. Consisting of four members, the sound plays regular all over Finland as well as having played in Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Norway, Czech Republic, Germany and China. Komposti have their regular radio show every monday 1800-2000 CET on Radio Helsinki, 88,6 MHz (also broadcast live on Radio Helsinki website). We strive to feature the latest - and the best - of Jamaican dancehall reggae as well as juggle some of our favorite foundation selection every week.

We are the current Finnish soundclash champions 2007, holding the trophy for the third time after having won in 2004 in the first Finnish clashes, being a close second to MPV in 2005 and winning again 2006.

Ben Klock (DE)
Ben Klock pyrkii luomaan soitannallaan tietynlaisen ilmapiirin. Hänen settinsä on kokonaisuus, joka alkaa taivaallisilla syvillä rytmeillä tähdäten suuren bassojytinän dominoimaan hurmioon.

Hänen sävelensä laukkaavat eri pituuksilla. Soitto alkaa usein pienillä äänillä, mitkä matkan edetessä muuttuvat tunnepitoiseksi minimalistiseksi teknopläjäykseksi. Klockin saundi on saanut vaikutteita Dettroitin ja Chicagon teknolegendoista, mutta mies painottaa tyylikseen uuden ja vanhan yhdistämisen – oli se sitten klassikko tai dancehitti. Eri tyylien kokeilu kuuluu Klockin seteissä raikkaana monipuolisuutena.

Musiikin parissa artisti on viettänyt koko pienen ikänsä. Jo lapsena herra soitti pianoa, nauhoitteli syntetisaattorilla kappaleita ja kokeili niin kitaran soitantaa kuin myös laulamista rockbändissä. Paikkansa Berliinin teknopiirien eturiviin Klock on lunastanut soittamalla klubeilla kuten Tresor, WMF ja Coocies. Berghainissa Klock on ollut vakiovieras jo 90-luvun lopulta asti. Pesti on antanut hänelle erityisaseman kokeilla uutta ja erilaista. Nykyään artisti keikkailee myös eri puolilla Eurooppaa säännöllisesti viikoittaisen Panorama Barin ohella.

Klockin teoksia ovat julkaisseet levy-merkit BPitch Control, Memo ja OstGut Ton, joiden ansiosta artistin lahjat ovat päässeet uusien kuuntelijoiden ihailtaviksi. Tuoreimpia julkaisuja mieheltä ovat Czeslawa/ Warszawa (OstGut, 2007) ja October (Bpitch Control, 2008). Lisäksi DJ puuhastelee oman Klockworks -levymerkkinsä parissa. Benin oma 'One' levy julkaistiin helmikuussa 2009.

Hytkyn Rytmikaravaani esittelee kiinnostavia suomalaisia ja ulkomaisia elektronisen rytmimusiikin taitureita puistossa, terassilla ja klubiympäristössä. Tapahtumaa tähdittävät kuumat nimet kuten hollantilainen Legowelt, ensimmäistä kertaa Suomessa esiintyvä saksalaisen AGF:n ja suomalaisen Vladislav Delayn yhteisprojekti AGF / Delay sekä kotimainen indie-elektroihme Villa Nah. Heidän lisäkseen kuullaan joukko tuoreita ja monipuolisia elektronisen musiikin lupauksia. Samalla Rytmikaravaani osallistuu We Love Helsinki Weekendiin, joka kerää yhteen urbaanin kesä-Helsingin kuumimmat menot samana viikonloppuna

Kuudennen Linjan terassilla ohjelmasta vastaavat Hytkyn ystäväorganisaatiot 'Disko Tekno Kollektiv', 'Entropy' sekä Dj Introvert. Terassi on maksuton ja grilli kuumana koko illan - eli tofut, halloumit ja olutmakkarat mukaan! Kutosen terassipaviljongissa viihdytään iisimmässä tunnelmassa sekä virittäydytään illan klubitapahtumaa varten.

KUUDES LINJA Klubi
Rytmikaravaani päättää retkensä Kuudennen Linjan sisätiloihin, jossa tunnelmaa
lämmitellään Hytkyn deejiiden voimin ja paahdetaan loppuun asti kansainvälisten
klubikonkareiden tahdissa. Viimeisenä parastaan tarjoaa odotettu Legowelt, joka samalla
sinetöi karavaanimme kesäisen matkan.

Kuudennella Linjalla kerran kuussa järjestettävä Säpinää –indieliveklubi tarjoaa kuumaan kesään meheviä indie-esiintymisiä, vain viiden euron hintaan. Terassille voi tulla aloittamaan iltaa liveartistien ja deejiiden tahdittamana.

Elokuussa liikutaan runsaiden tunteiden ja elektronisten soundien välimaastossa, kun lavalle astuu Mesmer sekä Viola. Mesmer tunnetaan kunnianhimoisesta soundistaan joka hyppii yli tyylirajojen. Kuultavissa on kaikkea kitararyöpytyksen, krautrockjumituksen ja psykedeliarockin väliltä. Indie-elektroyhtye Viola taaseen juhlii kymmenenvuotista uraansa. Kaksikko luopui tänä vuonna perinteisten levyjen julkaisemisesta ja siirtyi digitasialiseen formaattiin, Viola Music Clubin muodossa. Web-sivuilla yhtye julkaisee kuukausittain uuden kappaleen täysin ilmaiseksi. Uusisa soundeja tullaan varmasti myös kuulemaan keikalla.
